Even on vacation you never know what you’ll find! This is what I saw from the road. Further investigation revealed much more. Thankfully, my wife brought a book and was content to wait in the rental car while I explored. The owner, Mike, was gracious and took time out of his busy schedule to spend some time with me and explain his collection. None of the vehicles are for sale, but he doesn’t mind you looking. One thing I didn’t get a picture of was the original WWII Enlisted man’s barracks that he saved from demolition.
LVT and a partial CCKW.
Backside of the LVT.
The other side revealed a Halftrack and an M5 Stuart.
Gama Goat sits in waiting.
Stuart and the halftrack were well hidden in the weeds.
Inside the 1/2 Track. Excellent restoration candidate!
GTB cargo truck converted to a bomb carrier.
WWII Officers tent. Wood structure with a canvas top. Now covered with tin roof. Saved from destruction.
Original WWII Pillbox off one of the Hawiian Island coast lines.
You can’t see it, but there are 2 GPW’s there with the 1/2 ton Dodge.
Another 1/2 ton along with a 3/4 ton weapons carrier.
Can you see what this is? I almost missed this one.
